This week, Texas ABA Centers hosted a double header of ribbon-cutting ceremonies as it celebrated the opening of two new autism care centers in the state. The clinic in Katy, TX, hosted its festivities on October 8, and the clinic in Austin, TX hosted its grand opening the following day on October 9. These clinics will provide diagnostic and autism care services in the Southeast and Central regions of Texas, respectively.
Texas ABA Centers provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism through a play-based approach rooted in positive reinforcement. The organization was founded to disrupt the autism care industry by demolishing wait times traditionally experienced by those in search of a diagnosis or treatment. It’s common for families to be waitlisted from many months to several years to receive these services for their children, but Texas ABA Centers typically has a child in therapy within 47 days from the time initial contact is made with the organization.
“While these are the grand unveilings of our first and second autism care centers in Texas, we have been providing home-based and community-based services to these regions’ most vulnerable children since October 2023,” said Selma Ward, Vice President of Operations for Texas ABA Centers. “We offer something amazing to the community both with our beautiful spaces and with the delivery of clinical excellence, and we are thrilled to now offer in-clinic services as an additional layer to our continuum of care.”
The strategically designed centers provide children with vibrant, immersive, and engaging environments to receive the therapy lessons that will help them navigate life on the spectrum and teach them the tools to achieve a robust and fulfilling future.
“As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child – well, it also takes a village to create an amazing clinic to care for those children,” remarked Brittani Vincent, Executive Director for Texas ABA Centers’ Katy center. “The backbone of what we do is our clinicians – those folks that are enthusiastically working hand-in-hand with our kiddos each and every day. It is because of the work that they do that siblings are able to play with their brother or sister for the first time, it is because of them that parents can hear their child say ‘I love you’ for the first time, and it is because of them that families no longer have to waste away on waitlists for the first time.”
“Our registered behavior technicians and board-certified behavior analysts are the heartbeat of this organization. They personify clinical excellence and I love seeing the difference they make in the lives of our kiddos,” remarked Steven Blewett, Executive Director of Texas ABA Centers’ Austin clinic.
Texas ABA Centers has plans to open three more clinics in the state through 2025. More information about the organization and the autism care services it offers can be found at www.texasabacenters.com
